THE SHORT VERSION
The animation team runs an acitivity programme through the day, and the courts, the pitches and the gym are there for residents. You can also engage in watersports and diving at an extra cost if you feel like you’re up for an adventure!
THE ANIMATION TEAM
The animation team works through the day. Water aerobics in the pool, games on the grass, darts and many other activities.
The programme runs six days a week. Ask at reception for any further information required.
Malama also hosts evening entertainment for its guests if you feel like joining at the bar for a drink and some fun!
POOLS & BEACH
The pools sit overlook the picturesque Malama bay. The depths vary between them and one has a shallow end. Pool staff put the sunbeds and umbrellas out each morning for residents.
The path at the bottom of the gardens leads to our own cove. Rock on both sides, sand underfoot, and the water stays flat most days. Malama Beach is a Blue Flag beach known for its crystal clear waters.
IN THE WATER
Watersports gear is for hire on the beachfront through the season. Head for the watersports kiosk. Note that an extra cost is charged.
The Mares dive school is located on the premises of the hotel. They take complete beginners for a first try in shallow water and certified divers out to the wrecks and dive sites along this coast.
COURTS AND PITCHES
There is a tennis court in the gardens and a squash court indoors. Beach volleyball and beach tennis are set up on the sand near the cove. There is a mini football pitch, table tennis and darts.
All of it is free for residents.
THE GYM
The fitness centre is indoors and fully air conditioned, with cardio machines, weights machines and free weights. It is open through the day and it is rarely busy, because most people are outside.
There is a yoga area in the gardens as well, used by the animation team for morning sessions.
AFTER DARK
The animation team puts something on most evenings: dance shows, bingo nights, live singers. It starts early enough that children can watch the first half and still be in bed at a reasonable hour.
Granita overlooks the bay, making it ideal for an early evening cocktail during sunset time. Le Repos is the indoor lounge and operates seasonally subject to weather conditions.
