SINCE 1992
Ever since 1992, Malama remains an independent family-run hotel.
The plan was to build low and spread out, and let the gardens do the rest. So there is no tower and no lift. Small blocks sit among 26 acres of planting that has had three decades to fill in, and a path leading to the popular pool area and the picturesque Malama Bay!
A Blue Flag beach at the end of the gardens, sheltered and shallow.
Mature landscaped gardens, planted when the village was built.
Roughly 60 km by car, nearly all of it motorway.
WHAT WE’re for
Give people a holiday that is not interchangeable with every other one, and memories that outlast the flight home. The method is simple and slightly old-fashioned: treat guests as part of the Malama family!
To be worth crossing the Mediterranean for, and to feel like a second home once you get here.

THE LAYOUT
There is no tower, no lobby to cross before you can get anywhere, no waiting for a lift with wet feet. The rooms and suites sit in low blocks through the gardens, with the pools are in the far end overlooking the Malama Bay!
Your room might be a three-minute walk from breakfast instead of a lift ride down, however, what you get back is shade, quiet, and enough space for children to run into.
SUSTAINABILITY
Providing a holiday destination of the highest health and safety standards is a crucial starting point and a leeway to making our team members, guests and the locals feel part of the Malama family. This sense of trust, friendliness and togetherness is key for all stakeholders to develop a sense of community, grow fond of the local environment and wildlife, and thus preserve it as if it is their second home.
